Who we are,

What we do

Chiara Vitali

Chiara has dedicated the past twenty years to exploring the human mind, body, emotion, and relationships. After studying social work at university in her native Italy she began to travel the world, deepening her practice of yoga, meditation, and a variety of introspective traditions that have proven fundamental to her personal process of self-discovery.

She has developed a unique vision of integrative health that sees body as a source of wisdom, the mind as a lens for self-reflection, and the emotions as a compass for internal guidance. As a teacher, trainer, and holistic coach she relies on her ability to listen deeply and observe with care, intuiting the processes that underly the challenges faced by both individuals and couples.

Eric Haas

Eric is a therapist engaged in a mad quest to save the world by dissolving the barriers between our conscious minds and our primal natures. His academic journey began with the study of literature as an undergrad with David Foster Wallace, where he cultivated an appreciation for careful observation and meticulous thought. The year following graduation, when DFW decided to end his own life, Eric was spurred to travel the world in search of other — stabler, wiser — ways of living. After five seasons working in the wilds of Alaska he finally hunkered down to study Existential Counseling, and later Gestalt Therapy, while working as a shepherd in the mountains of Basque Country.

Driven by the realization that words and understanding are rarely enough to heal the existential scars we confuse for our selves, he has painstakingly built a practice of immersive natural therapies that include movement and breath, heat and cold, meditation, and work with entheogenic plant medicine. He continues to explore the contours of human existence with the persistence hunters of the Kalahari as his guide, and is currently working toward a Master’s in Psychoneuroimmunology.

And I say that life is indeed darkness save when there is desire,

And all desire is blind save when there is knowledge,

And all knowledge is vain save when there is work,

And all work is empty save when there is love…

Work is love made visible.

— Khalil Gibran

What we do

Flow & Focus is a joint project born out of a recognition for a need to balance the masculine with the feminine, to integrate the body with the mind, and to heal our relationships both with ourselves and with those we love.

We draw on a wide variety of perspectives and approaches to create safe and enriching spaces of exploration, of discovery, of growth. Each experience we offer is unique, and reflective of our own continued growth, though our guiding principles remain constant:

We work with care and humility, digging joyfully into what matters most; we’re committed to engaging fully with life, and to having a good time doing it.
